Ciudadela Phase III

Ciudadela is the largest mixed-use urban infill project in Puerto Rico, and will  significantly transform the urban design paradigm in Puerto Rico towards the revitalization of our urban centers. The design phase began in 2003, and construction started in 2005.  Phase I and II were completed in 2012.

Phase III will complete the mixed use residential and commercial urban infill development, adding three mid-rise, and two high rise residential towers with 252 new residences, and completing the pedestrian Plaza area that links Santurce to a new city park, and the Puerto Rico Museo de Arte.

Services provided: Architecture design and technical review support, including Code review; technical specifications documentation, and coordination of architecture and MEP design documents.

Energy and environmental design strategies incorporated: Pedestrian-oriented urban site; 35% potable water savings; 25% less energy consumption following ASHRAE 90.1 2007 guidelines; and low-emitting interior finishes and cabinetry.
